Some new Shirts for some buddies!

Playing in a band you get to make some really cool friends from other bands. I got a call from my friend Staab from The Dead Will Tell asking me to design a new logo/shirt for them. Staab's a gangsta and his band is as gangsta as he is, so I agreed to help out. I think it came out pretty rad...and so did somebody else...I played a show in one that Staab gave me (see pic above). It got sweaty so I changed shirts and somebody went into my bag and stole it after our show. Kinda gross but I'll take it as a compliment. I want another shirt please Staab.



Another amazing friend and brother that I've met through the band is Gordon Laws. I met him many years ago and we've been great friends since.He's recently started a band with other good friends of mine, Byron "Killer B" and James "Flames". They're called Death by Ninja which is easily one of the coolest names I've ever heard. So when they asked me to design a logo for them I jumped at the chance. I think it came out pretty cool and I think they're happy with how it turned out. I got to watch them at their first big gig at Seasons Wither and was stoked to see a few kids in the crowd rocking out in the tee already. Check the band out. They will kill you...because they're ninjas. And that's what ninjas do.


Then there's some of my favorite dudes from Facing The Gallows. They're an interesting bunch to say the least. They've gotta be one of the heaviest acts out there and sometimes their personalities just don't match their brutal tunage. Firstly there's one of my favorite people in the world Ricardo "Cadillac" who has got to be one of the nicest dudes you'll ever meet. Far from the murderous metal persona you hear at one of their live shows. Ask anyone and they'll agree. Then Nem. He's like a giant teddy bear who likes to hit things really hard while wearing the shortest shorts he can find. Ray and Chase are alcoholics but are always the last two on a dance floor, jamming to weird 80's electro or whatever's playing really! And then there's Brian. I'm sure he might be slightly retarded. But he's brutal with the biggest growl you've ever heard for such a small guy. As I said. An interesting bunch. But I love them all. I came up with this tee design for em which summed them up in my mind. It was suppossed to be all glittery with different colours like in the pic above, but they just went with shiny silver because they had no money because Chase and Ray drank all their savings away. It still came out rad though.
